Job Description:

Chinook Capital Advisors is seeking investment banking analyst interns for Summer 2025. We are only evaluating students that will be in their junior year during the 2024-25 academic year for this position. Interested candidates must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site at our office at Carillon Point in Kirkland, Washington.

As an intern with Chinook, you will work closely with the team on every stage of the M&A process from pitch to close. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and gain hands-on experience not found at larger firms. The internship is fast-paced and the learning curve is steep; it is expected that the ideal candidate is hungry to gain valuable experience and exposure to many aspects of the investment banking industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting extensive company and industry research and analysis using research resources like PitchBook
  • Constructing financial models by analyzing financial statements and additional data points
  • Assisting in developing pitch books, confidential information memorandums, and other client presentations
  • Supporting day-to-day execution of client engagements and business development activities

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Ability to work both within a team and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Strong accounting and financial modeling / analysis skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Currently enrolled in a four-year institution pursuing a major in finance, accounting, or economics, with excellent academic credentials
  • Previous finance internships/experience a plus
  • Candidate is in their junior year during the 2024-2025 academic year
