  • The U.S. total Aerospace parts manufacturing market was $402B in 2021. U.S. aerospace industry shipments rose 7% in 2021 to reach 76% of 2018 levels. This trend of increasing shipments has continued through 2022.
  • 2020 was a challenging year for aerospace component manufacturers due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2021 was a year of recovery, and 2022 is shaping up to be a year of elevated recovery, but still below pre-pandemic levels.
  • Commercial aircraft production is increasing with rebounding air travel. In June of this year, Boeing delivered 51 737’s, the most since March 2019.
  • Component manufacturing M&A transactions increased 57% in 2021, following a 45% decline in 2020. The segment accounted for 22% of total aerospace transactions in 2021
